Simon Allen, Jr., age 81 of Middletown, Ohio passed away Sunday morning, October 21, 2012 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties in Middletown, Ohio. He was born March 10, 1931 in Middletown, Ohio to Simon Allen and Carrie (Meadows) Allen. Simon retired from Inland Container after 38 years of service. He was a Veteran, serving during the Korean conflict with the U.S. Marine Corps. Simon was a NASCAR fan and a fan of the Cincinnati Reds. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary (Ashley) Allen; a son, Don (wife, Rita) Allen of Middletown, Ohio; grandson, Michael (wife, Amanda) Allen of Seven Mile, Ohio; a great granddaughter, Hailey Marie Allen; two brothers, Aubrey (wife, Audrey) Allen of Middletown, Ohio and Bert (wife, Joanna) Allen of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rupert Allen. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, Inc., 517 South Sutphin St. in Middletown, Ohio and from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Wednesday at Hearne Funeral Home, Inc., 125 West College Avenue in Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Dwaine Meadows will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Hearne Funeral Home, Inc. in Stanton, KY. Burial with Military Honors will be at the Cat Creek Cemetery in Stanton, KY with Michael Allen, Kenny Allen, Jeff Allen, Burt Allen, Henry Ashley, Jr. and Larry Means serving as active pallbearers.
