Opal C. Begley, age 94, of East College Avenue, Stanton, KY, widow of Herman Napier and Denny Begley, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester, KY. Born in Powell County, KY she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Lawson Combs. She was a homemaker and proud member of Stanton First Church of God. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by six brothers: Arnold Combs, Bufford Combs, Audney Combs, Ernest Combs, Earl Combs and Willie Combs and by four sisters: Leona Nethersmith, Ethel Moore, Edna Baker and Estell Webb. Surviving relatives are her son, Larry Napier of Stanton, KY; her daughter, Avanelle and her husband Stanley Whisman of West Liberty, KY; five grandchildren: Karen (Rex) Lykins, Larry Wayne Whisman, Tommy (Kim) Napier, Tony (Kim) Napier and Tammy (Tracy) Pasley; ten great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday and funeral services officiated by Rev. Max Molihan and Rev. Harry Flannery will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Hearne Funeral Home Chapel, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will follow in the King Cemetery, Cane Creek Road, Stanton, KY with Tommy Ray Napier II, Larry Wayne Whisman, Tommy Ray Napier, Justin Pasley, Anthony Larrison, Tony Napier and Tracy Pasley serving as pallbearers.
