Danny Dale Means, age 55, husband of Karen Thorpe Means of Jones Road, Clay City, KY died on September 19, 2012 at U K Medical Center, Lexington, KY from injuries he received in a motor cycle accident. Born in Winchester, KY he was the son of the late Orvel C. and Aneta Ashley Means. Danny was a truck driver and the owner of Means Trucking of Clay City, KY. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Means and Eddy Dean Means. Surviving relatives are his wife, Karen Means; his son, Justin Means and his daughter, Brandy Means all of Clay City, KY; his brother, Larry and his wife Aloha Means of Stanton, KY; his sister, Doris and her husband Alan Rogers of Eaton, OH and his two grandchildren, Riley and Aiden Faulkner. Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Saturday and his funeral service officiated by Rev. Mark Miller will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Hearne Funeral Home Chapel, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY. Interment will be in the Means Cemetery on Jones Road, Clay City, KY with Elbert Steele, Gary Hall, Chris Nolan, Darrhyl Combs, Donnie Shields, Earl Roberts, Rondell Clemons and Bruce Spencer serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dallas Clark, Larry Means, Zachary Means, Shannon Smith, Gary Tipton, Bryan Howard, Tracy Tipton, Danny Everman, Alan Rogers, Dean Rogers, Kenny Rogers, Tim Dunn, Scott Pennebaker and Robert Rice.
