Ada Victory Meadows, age 79, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Stanton Nursing Center in Stanton. Born in Powell County on May 3, 1943, she was the daughter of the late George and Nancy Jane Hall Barnes. She spent her career of thirty-eight years working for the Jockey International Corporation as a factory employee. She was an avid sewer and enjoyed quilting also. She liked going on walks and was an excellent cook. Along with her parents, Ada was preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Franklin and step father, Vernon Goodwin. She is survived by five sons: John Otis Mullins of Monroe, OH, Ronald Meadows and Michael (Vikki) Meadows both of Clay City, Darryl (John McDaniel) Meadows of Smithville, TN and Ken (Malay) Meadows of Germantown, TN; two daughters: Sandra (Randall) McCoy of Stanton and Sherry (Jason) Mitchell of Clay City; one brother, Trigger Garland (Emma) Barnes of Jeffersonville; two sisters: Matilda (Doug) Hamilton of Carlisle and Zellie (Dexter) Barnes of Jeffersonville; eleven grandchildren: Victoria Jasser, Rebekkah Layne, Jimmy Mullins, Lakayla Smith, Susan Meadows, Jessica Rayburn, Michael Meadows, Jr., Ryan Meadows, Jeffery Meadows, Ron Meadows, Jr., and Bryan Meadows; and multiple great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 20, 2022, with the funeral service immediately following at 3:00 P.M. officiated by Bro. Warren Rogers. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery in Clay City with Michael Meadows, Jr., Brian Layne, Jason Mitchell, Chris Adams, Randall McCoy, Bruce Treash, Trey Perdue, and Gideon Bailey serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the Stanton Nursing Home staff, Thelma Snowden and the late Barbara Kincaid. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home, Inc. of Stanton.
