Anna Townsend

Anna Louise Townsend, age 80, of Stanton, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Lombard, Kentucky on September 19, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William Letcher Hall and the late Alpha Mae Birch Hall. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Shirldean Townsend; one son, Warren Dale Hall and one daughter Ellen Gray. Anna devoted her whole life to her family and anything they ever needed she was there to provide. She is survived by one son, Kevin Dean (Diana) Townsend of Stanton; three daughters: Janice (Gary) Kennett of Lake Wales, FL, Shelia (Jeffery) Smith of Stanton and Anna (John Watson) Townsend of Stanton; one brother, William Harold Hall of Stanton; nine grandchildren: Dusty Sparks, Warren Dean Townsend, Jeffery Dale Smith, Amanda Curtis, Keisha Henderson, Kayla Gray, John Robert Watson and Shanna Kennett; four step grandchildren: Michael Bush, Patrick Sizemore, Michelle Sparks and Larry Bush; ten great-grandchildren: Justin Dale Sparks, Dustin Lee Sparks, Kassi Sparks, Madison Sparks Fox, Brylee Roberts, Aiden Boggs, Khloe Henderson, Callie Henderson, Emily Pasley and Will Pasley; three step great grandchildren: Brianna Collins, Josh Sparks and Nate Sparks and two great great grandchild, Riley Collins and Auggie Sparks. Funeral services officiated by Brother James Smith and Brother Danny Bush will be conducted on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue in Stanton. Visitation will be held on Saturday as well from 12:00 noon until service time at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Hanks Cemetery on Manning Road in Stanton with John Watson, John Robert Watson, Doug Watson, Micah Curtis, Matt Slugantz, Jeffrey Dale Smith and Dusty Sparks serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the staff of the Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
