Bobby "Bob" Ray Shouse, age 77, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at his home in Stanton, Kentucky. He was born on March 12, 1947, to the late John A. Shouse and the late Carly Fox Shouse. Bobby was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, having honorably served his country with unwavering dedication. With a heart full of love for his family, he cherished the moments spent with his three step-grandchildren, filling their time together with laughter and joy. Known affectionately as "Joker," Bobby had a knack for humor, delighting everyone around him with his quick wit and playful spirit. He had an endearing habit of giving everyone he encountered a unique nickname, a testament to his thoughtful nature and genuine interest in others. A man of immense generosity, Bobby would go out of his way to help those in need, ready to give the shirt off his back without a second thought. He found solace in the tranquility of fishing, often relishing the peaceful moments by the water. A devoted fan of the University of Kentucky basketball team, he cheered enthusiastically with every game. For forty years, Bobby was the proud owner and driver of Shouse Trucking, his passion for the road was evident in the way he spoke about his work. He loved the freedom of the open highway, relishing the opportunity to travel and explore the many places his career allowed him to see. Bobby took immense pride in maintaining the highest standards for his business, ensuring that everything was organized and that deliveries were always made on time. Each journey was not just a job for him, but an adventure filled with stories and experiences that shaped his life. In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his step-daughter, Kathy Cunningham; four brothers: James Shouse, Conley Shouse, Joe Shouse, and Roy Shouse; and five sisters: Gladys Wagner, Lovie Brinkman, Inez Butt, Mary Clems, and Lucille Towe. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Shouse; two daughters, Karen (John) Moore of Washington State and Bobbie Lynn Humfleet of Florence, Kentucky; one sister, Betty Conley of Xenia, Ohio; grandchildren: Casey (Cody) Sizemore and numerous others; three special great-grandchildren: Isaiah Sizemore, Elijah Sizemore, and Josiah Sizemore, and numerous other great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Steve Skinner will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 24, 2025. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, Kentucky, with Cody Sizemore, Kevin Hayton, Kevin M. Hayton, Nick Townsend, Brandon Sizemore, Dakota Sizemore, and Glenna Jones serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Cooper, Ed Shouse, Randy Hensley, Larry Shouse, Darryl Jack Shouse, Isaiah Sizemore, Elijah Sizemore, and Josiah Sizemore. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
