Andy Estes

Buford Andrew Estes, age 71, of Clay City, KY husband of Stella Vinson Estes passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born in Mt. Sterling, KY on December 19, 1951, he was the son of the late Buford Estes, Jr. and the late Vera Clay Barnett Estes. Andy was a very kind and gentle man who enjoyed being a barber throughout the years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors.  In addition to his wife, Andy is survived by one son, John Estes; two daughters: Christy Dotson and Chasta (Jeremy) Davis both of Clay City; two brothers: Mark Estes of Shippensburg, PA and James Donald Estes of GA; two sisters: Linda Estes Minks and Lois Estes Osbourne both of Clay City; eight grandchildren: Lora Hudson, Andrea Dotson, Margie Dotson, Drew Davis, Jaxon Davis, Amanda Trent, Madison Wireman and Johnny Ray Estes; numerous great-grandchildren and several special nieces and nephews. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Dale Payne will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Eaton Cemetery in Clay City with Jesse Estes, Jaime Estes, James Estes, A.J. Osborne, Jimmy Thomas and Daniel Clair serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Bailey, David Watson, Roger Watson, Ben Watson and Mitchell Letulle. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home, Inc. of Stanton.
