Chad Stewart Vice, age 42, husband of Rhonda Stephens Vice, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Chad was born in Lexington, Kentucky on December 10, 1980 and an owner of George B. Stone Company, LLC. Chad was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, leader and mentor. He was so proud to be the father of his three wonderful children and the grandfather to his grandson. He was a loving, funny, caring and a selfless man who was passionate about his family and his job. Besides loving to watch his son excel at soccer and holding his grandson, he very much enjoyed boating, camping or attending any social activity with his family and many friends, as a great host or a guest. He was quick to make you laugh with a funny story or something quick-witted to say with the sarcasm he enjoyed. Chad was an avid soccer fan! He loved UK Basketball and suffered through the UK football season with his family each year. He was a member of the Mt. Sterling First Christian Church. Chad was a business owner and leader of men young and old. He was an honorable man who was well respected. In his work he was determined, mindful of safety, fair and easy to get along with. He taught many employees the safe and proper way to complete whatever task was at hand. Chad was a man that enjoyed sitting by the pool with a cold beverage or standing over the grill with a good bourbon. Chad’s presence was always felt anytime he was in the room or at any event. He will be missed more than any words can say. Chad was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Alice Vice. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father, Claudie (Kathy) Vice of Mt. Sterling; two sons: Cailen Vice and Dylan (Britany) Clark; one daughter: Emma Wade; his brother, Sanford (Susie) Vice of Mt. Sterling; his sister, Lesley (JR) Butcher of Mt. Sterling; his mother-in-law, Mary Riddle; one brother-in-law, Jeff (Shanda) Stephens of Owingsville; one grandchild, Louie Clark and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at First Christian Church, 222 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
