David Warren Terry, Jr., age 48, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at his home in Jeffersonville, Kentucky. He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on January 13, 1976, to the late David Warren Terry, Sr. and Jo Ann Hatton Terry. He was a 1995 graduate of Montgomery County High School and worked as a semi-truck driver for Rural King. David was known for his love of family and his laid-back attitude, always willing to go with the flow. He enjoyed working on his drag race truck and spending time racing at the Mt. Parkway Dragway. David loved music, mostly trucker songs, and had a passion for semi-trucks and everything associated with them. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lucinda Terry of Jeffersonville; one son: Levi Willoughby of Jeffersonville; two daughters: Courtney Lynn (Trey) Brown of Cynthiana and Ella Rose Terry of Lancaster; one sister: Lynn (Billy) Tapp of Sharpsburg; his mother-in-law: Ruth Charles of Jeffersonville; and three grandchildren: Jayda Brown, Lorelei Brown and Tobias Brown. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Monday, July 8, 2024, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Tommy Evans will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be held at Machpelah Cemetery in Mt. Sterling with Bob Crase, Adrian Pippin, Richard Wells, John Taulbee, Billy Stull, and Benny Drake serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Tapp, John Ratcliff, and Trey Brown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
