Eula Friend

Eula Martin Friend, age 87, widow of Orval Friend of Slade, Kentucky passed away on  Friday, July 31, 2020 at Marcum and Wallace Hospital.  Born in Stanton, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ethel Kinser Martin and a member of End Time Tabernacle.  Eula is survived by her son, Denzil Friend and her daughter, Linda Kahler, both of Stanton; three grandchildren, Christopher Compton, Lee (Misty Brotherton) Compton and Barbara Compton and by seven great grandchildren:  Nicolas Compton, Dylan Compton, Tera Phillips, Eula Lee Rain Compton, Brittney Diaz, Matthew Brashears and Wade Brashears.  Eula was preceded in death by her sister, Freda McCoy and by ten brothers:  Alger Martin, Elmer Martin, Verlin Martin, Junior Martin, Kendell Martin, John Martin, Sterling Martin, Russell McDaniel, Alton Martin and Shelby Ray Martin.  Funeral services officiated by Steve Watkins will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Hearne Funeral Home Inc., 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY.  Visitation begins at 5:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Friend Cemetery with Joseph Hollon, Nicolas Compton, Dylan Compton, Denzil Friend, Christopher Compton and Lee Compton serving as active pallbearers.  Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
