Gary "Gerb" Thompson

Gary "Gerb" Burnis Thompson, age 39, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Fort Riley, Kansas, on May 20, 1984, to William Thompson, Jr. and Eileen Rice. He loved to listen to music and was always the life of the party. Gary loved children and always had a big smile on his face. He was also a former member of the United States Army. Gary is survived by his father, William (Lucy) Thompson, Jr. of Stanton; his mother, Eileen Rice of Clay City; two sons: Trent Thompson of Mt. Sterling and Ryder Thompson of Oklahoma; one daughter, Peyton Thompson of Oklahoma; two brothers: B.J. (Darla) Thompson of Stanton and Dylan Thompson of Campton; two sisters: April Barnett of Clay City and Gracie Thompson of Stanton; two nephews: Gage Barnett and Braydon Thompson and one niece Hannah Barnett. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services officiated by Brother Glen Maschino will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening as well at 7:00 P.M. Military honor will follow the services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
