James Anderson

James Emanuel Anderson, age 58, passed away July 30, 2020 at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling Hospital.  Born in Winchester, Kentucky he was the son of Opel Mae McKinnie Anderson and the late Maynard Jerry Anderson and was a member of Jeffersonville First Church of God.  He was an artist who taught art classes at the Montgomery County Public Library.  He lived life his way, he walked to the beat of his own drum, he loved the Lord and he loved to help people.  In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by three children, George Henry Anderson, Leslie Michelle Townsend and Melissa Jo Anderson and one niece, Tonya Denise Cox.  James is survived by his wife, Holly Sams Anderson of Mt. Sterling; two sons, James Anderson, Jr. of Bowen and Jacob Russell Shaw of Granbury, TX; grandmother, Mary Emma Willoughby of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Ernest Michael (Judith) Anderson of Clay City and Robert Dean (Yolanda Gail Collins) Anderson of Jackson; four sisters:  Sonya Lee (Dennis) Cox of Carlisle, Lenora Mae (Justin Searcy) Anderson of Lexington, Melissa Sue (Charley, Jr.) McCall of Jeffersonville and Emily Jo (Irvine "Buddy") Clay of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren:  Christopher Dale "C. D" Townsend, Shayla Paige Ledford and Blayton Emanuel Anderson; one great grandchild, Colton Asher Rose and three nieces, April Anderson, Felicia Justice and Elizabeth Barron.  Funeral services officiated by Robert Dean Anderson and April Anderson will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Hearne Funeral Home Inc., 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, KY.  Visitation begins at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Pallbearers are John Cox, Charley McCall, Dennis Cox, Steve Justice, Buddy Clay, Leevi Hedges, Clayton Hedges, Andrew Bryant Gill, Justin Searcy, Jadon Barron and Mikey Anderson.  Arrangements by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc.
