James Townsend

James Irvin Townsend, age 60, of Winchester, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at his home. Born in Clark County, Kentucky on July 14, 1963, he was the son of the late Herman and Helen Strange Townsend. James loved to fish and watch wrestling, and his favorite song was “I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow”. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Townsend. He is survived by his son, William Justin Kyle Benningfield of Winchester and sister, Evelyn (Jerry W.) York of Winchester. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue in Stanton. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday evening as well. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
