Jearl Dean “Redman” Rogers, age 82, husband of Kathlene McKinney Rogers, passed away surrounded by those he loved on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at his home in Stanton, Kentucky. He was born in Patsy, Kentucky, on April 15, 1941, to the late Alpheus Rogers and the late Eldeana Hall Martin. Jearl was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard who attended the Church of God. He was a member of the Stafford Masonic Lodge #562 and an honorary member of the Stanton Masonic Lodge #352. Jearl loved his children and grandchildren and was known for being friendly and welcoming to everyone he met. He was a retired truck driver for Continental Metal Specialty, and he also enjoyed operating a flea market booth. Jearl's hobbies included cooking, vegetable gardening, racing dirt track cars, and being around racing in general. When he was younger, he also enjoyed hunting. In addition to his parents, Jearl was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Mullins; two daughters: Pam Helton and Kathy Beach; three grandchildren: Brian Keith Rogers, Aaron Rogers, and Austin Dean Helton, and his son-in-law, Micheal Helton. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons: Michael (Carrie) Rogers of Jeffersonville, Gregory Rogers of Stanton, Chris (Alicia) Rogers of Stanton, and Jason (Tammy) Rogers of Clay City; two daughters: Beverly (Shane) Hall of Irvine and Angie (Jeff) Lane of Stanton; one son-in-law, Dwayne Beach of Stanton; twenty-five grandchildren: Shannon Muncie, Shawna Mink, Jonathan Hall, Jessica Willis, Josh Spencer, Justin Spencer, Frank Spencer, Michael Coy Helton, Greg Moats, Brad Moats, Jonathan Rogers, Andrew Rogers, Brittany Rogers, Zachery Rogers, Erica Rednour, Emma Rogers, Stephanie Lane, Ashley Lane, Kaylee Perry, Kyle Lane, Evan Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Carly Rogers, Layne Rogers, and Taylor Rogers; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Lonnie Rogers of Jeffersonville and three sisters: Judy Lovely of Jeffersonville, Geneva Townsend of Beattyville and Imogene (Shep) Shepherd of Augusta. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Masonic Funeral Rites will be conduct Friday evening as well at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services officiated by Jameson Mink will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Burial will be held at Stonegate Cemetery with Jonathan Hall, Justin Spencer, Michael Coy Helton, Kyle Lane, Evan Rogers, Carly Rogers, and Andrew Rogers serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Dwayne Beach, Elisha Bishop, Masonic Brothers, and members of Hospice East. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
