Jessica Scott

Jessica Lynn Scott, age 45, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Clay City, Kentucky. She was born in Lexington to the late Terry Scott and the late Kathy Jo Sparks Bowen. Jessica found solace in her flower garden, a sanctuary where she could escape and immerse herself in the beauty of nature. Her love for travel was fueled by a desire to connect with the world, as she yearned to discover new places, always seeking to enrich her life. Jessica's heart was big, filled with kindness and compassion; she poured herself into helping others whenever she could, recognizing the importance of being there for those in need. In addition to her parents, Jessica is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Herley Sparks; her paternal grandfather, Jerry Lee Scott; and her paternal grandmother, Shirley Patrick Scott. She is survived by her maternal grandmother, Elaine Walters of Clay City, and two sons, Jalee Desane (Katlynn) Crabtree of Winchester and Jager Young of Irvine. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Brother Ted Linkous, will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. immediately following visitation. Burial will be at Adams Todd Cemetery in Ruckerville, Kentucky, with Jalee Desane Crabtree, Jager Young, Sanford Walters, Jr., Allen Fouch, Janice Vires, and Tommy Vires serving as active pallbearers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
