Patricia Lyle Howell

We mournfully announce the passing of Patricia Lyle Howell, age 77, of Farmington Hills, Michigan. Pat passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, after a brief illness. Patricia was born on July 14, 1946, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, to the late Carl and Bessie Williams Howell. The family moved to Dearborn, Michigan, when Pat was in high school, where, after graduating, she had a long career in the insurance business. Although Michigan was her home, she spent time living and visiting in her native Kentucky prior to settling down permanently in Michigan. Pat lived a full and vibrant life with friends and family, including her late sister Shirley, niece Barbara, and nephews Roger and David, as well as staying connected with her Kentucky family. When Pat retired, she devoted her time to reading, house projects, and family visits. She will be missed dearly by her family.  Along with her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Milligan. Pat is survived by one niece, Barbara (Stan) Gillett of Mecosta, Michigan; two nephews: Roger (Sharon) Barker of Long Beach, California, and David (Kathy) Barker of Danville, Illinois; four great-nieces: Janaye Barker, Alyxandra Barker, Taylor Barker, and Shayna (Marc) Wilson; two great-nephews: Jordan Barker and Nick Barker; one great-great nephew, Dylan Barker and one great-great niece Mila Wilson. Services will be held at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue in Stanton, Kentucky, on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Greg Webb officiating the service. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until funeral service time at the funeral home as well. The burial will be held at Virden Cemetery in Clay City, Kentucky, with Roger Barker, Sharon Barker, David Barker, Jordan Barker, Dylan Barker, and Keith Reed serving as pallbearers.
