Richard Kim Marsh, age 67, husband of 32 years to Linda Jones Marsh, of Winslow, Indiana passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.  Born in Winchester, Kentucky on September 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Thomas Marsh and the late Easter Marsh Rogers. Richard was raised in Stanton, Kentucky where he attended Powell County High School. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and retired from Operating Engineers Local 841. He spent his retirement years fishing at Kentucky Lake and made fishing trips with his good buddies to Mississippi and Louisiana.  He also competed in black powder shooting matches with his brothers, nephew and great nephew. He was a passionate fan of the University of Kentucky basketball and football. He also had a special love and appreciation for God’s creation; nature, birds, the outdoors and dogs, especially Buddy & Frank. Richard’s faith & trust in his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, was the cornerstone of his life and was especially evident during the last 2 months he spent battling cancer. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alvin Rogers; one sister, Naomi Horn; one brother, Omer “Tommy” Marsh; two brothers-in-law: Harold Horn and Frank Brown and parents-in-law David “Bill” and Elsie Jones. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Ashley (Neal) Hurm; three grandchildren: Chloe, Callie and Cooper Hurm of Owensboro, Kentucky; one sister, Lillian Marsh Brown of Winchester, Kentucky; one brother, Harry (Rita) Marsh of Stanton, Kentucky; one sister-in-law, Roberta Marsh and much-loved nephews, nieces and their families. We rejoice in God’s promise that we will one day all be reunited in Heaven.
