Shanna Trent

Shanna Dawn Trent, age 48, of Jeffersonville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY. Born in Mt. Sterling, KY on February 18, 1974, she was the daughter of Herbert Scott “Scotty” Trent and Roxanna Sparks Trent. Shanna greatly loved her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews who have been such a blessing in her life. She was very giving and had such a great faith. She attended Restoration Community Church. Shanna is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Herbert and Rosie Trent; her maternal grandparents: John and Hazel Sparks; and one grandchild, Baylee Grace Trent. Along with her parents, she is survived by one son, Brandon (Brittany) Trent of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Brooklynn (Corey Moore) Thomas of Jeffersonville; one brother, Shane (Shaylyn) Trent of Jeffersonville; one sister, Rebecca (Kevin) Shackelford of Jeffersonville; and five grandchildren: Grayson Trent, Ella Trent, Savanna Trent, Emersyn Trent and Korlan Moore. Visitation will be at Heritage Christian Church, 402 Commerce Circle, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 8, 2023, with the funeral service immediately following at 7:00 P.M. officiated by Bro. Chris Shaw and Bro. Robert Workman. Honorary pallbearers are her nieces and nephews: Madison (Jacob) Stamper, Chase Trent, Collin Trent, Rylee Trent, Rayvn Walton, Braydon Walton, Austin Bowles, Taner Bowles and Kevin Shackelford II. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home, Inc. of Stanton.
