Teresa Bowen

Teresa Lynn Bowen, age 61, wife of Steve Faw, passed into the arms of Jesus on December 6, 2023, at her home in Stanton, Kentucky. She was born in Winchester, Kentucky to the late Lawrence Edward Pelfrey and the Late Beulah Lowe Pelfrey. Teresa attended Grace Fellowship Church and was a 1980 graduate of Powell County High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Powell County Board of Education and was a regular fixture at the high school athletic events, where she collected tickets at the front door. Teresa was also a former member of the Stanton Women’s Club, and her positive attitude made her loved by everyone who knew her. She loved her family and friends, playing bingo, and animals, especially her dogs. Teresa loved spending time with her granddaughter and watching her in the marching band events. In addition to her parents, Teresa is preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Carolyn Clark, and brother-in-law, Phillip Clark, Sr. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: Warren (Wendy) Meadows, Jr. of Lexington; Travis (Jacqueline) Meadows, and Nelson Craig Bowen, both of Stanton; two brothers: Howard (Betty) Pelfrey and Jerry Pelfrey, both of Stanton; one granddaughter, Cambria R. Bowen, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services officiated by Brother Willard Estep, Sister Dana Estep and eulogy given by her son Warren Meadows, Jr. will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Burial will be held at Stanton Cemetery with Warren Meadows, Jr., Travis Meadows, Craig Bowen, James Clark, Jerry Pelfrey, Josh Pelfrey and Steve Faw serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jeanetta Humphries, Jim and Virginia Carpenter, Tim and Kristie Marcum, Norma and Earl Marcum, Charlene Brewer, Ruth Stamper, Christy Todd, Gina Kinser, Tonya and Tyler Faulkner, Michelle Ashcraft, Glenna Gentry Blythe, Suzan Allen, Debbi Rose, Kelsey Giurgevich, Tamala West, Pat Walker, Ann Pace, Colleen Elkins, Mark and Sissy Crowe, Jarrod Crowe, James and LaCosta Stewart, Adam Adkins, Shane Conner, Mike Denniston, Martina Skidmore, Lynne and Stacy Stidham, R.J. Stidham, Will Martin, Josh Gentry, Jennifer Kincaid, Vickie Ritchie, Josh Begley, Cliff and Sonya Faw, Brian Wilson, and Teeka and Christian Adams.
