Wanda Asch

Wanda Asch, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Stanton Nursing Center in Stanton, Kentucky. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 15, 1939, to the late William Easley and the late Mildred Hargis Easley. Wanda had a diverse career - working as a truck driver for B&W Asch Trucking, a mechanic and lineman for BellSouth, and a social worker for the Social Services Office in Louisville. She cherished spending time with her family and loved having them all around her. Wanda took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a caring lady who could also be quite feisty. Additionally, Wanda loved bowling and was part of a competitive team in a league. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Asch; three sons: Gary Lee Asch, Johnny Asch, and James Lewis; one daughter, Mary Jo Asch; one brother, William Arnold Easley; and one sister, Roxanna Easley. Wanda is survived by three sons: Charles (Susan) Lewis, Michael (Marquita) Lewis, and Donald Lewis all of Louisville; a special son, Jason (Nai) Lewis of Stanton; two daughters: Barbara Pierce and Kim Lewis, both of Stanton; a special daughter, LeeAnn (Lee) Pierce Richardson of Stanton; one brother, Kenneth Easley of Hustonville; two sisters: Janet Harper and Doris Otto both of Indiana; several grandchildren: Wanda (Chris) Peak, Joey Pierce, Jennifer (Robert) Burke, Charles Luttrell and twenty-three others; and several great-grandchildren: Michael Peak, Rosemarie Peak, Dakota Pierce, Natosha Peak, Billie Smith, Montana Kocher, Jayleigh Burke, James Kocher, Jr., Austin Pierce, Hannah Osborne, Peyton Pierce, Keylee Lewis, Carmen Pierce, Ellison Burke, Carolina Lewis, Dallas Richardson, Tayler Bryantt Smith, Jr., and numerous others. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be held at Roberts Cemetery in Stanton with Lee Richardson, Jason Lewis, Joey Pierce, James Robert Kocher, Jr., Charles Luttrell, Chris Peak, and Robert Burke serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dakota Pierce, Gary Lee Asch II, Johnny Joe Asch, Neal Hamilton, and David Taulbee. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
