Woodrow Clay Bush, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Windsor Care Center in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He was born in Muncie, Indiana, on March 28, 1951, to the late Woodrow Bush and the late Ella Brewer Bush. Woodrow was lead maintenance at Continental Metal Specialties and loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed square dancing and was a part of a square dance team. Woodrow was a member of the Kentucky Friends of the Bluegrass. He loved Elvis Presley, enjoyed his music, and had quite an Elvis collection. Woodrow loved the Lord and loved going to church. He was known for his storytelling abilities. Woodrow was family-oriented and was always willing to help others. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Strange Bush, and his wife, Phyllis Diane Bush; one brother, Gerald Keith Bush; two sisters, Linda Quate and Peggy Handy; his father-in-law, Clifton Strange; his son-in-law, Bobby Blevins; one grandchild, Allyssa Eyveigh Cox. Woodrow is survived by his daughter, Jessica Blevins of Jeffersonville; one grandchild, Hayden Cox; his mother-in-law, Maglene Strange; his sister-in-law, Patricia (Ray) Isaac of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Walter (Mary) Bush, Sr. of Rogers; one sister, Cheryl Adams of Campton; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Johnny Hurt will be held at the funeral home immediately following at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be held at Strange Cemetery in Clay City with Layne McKinney, Maynard Watkins, Ray Isaac, Chris Carroll, Terry Bush, and Wayne Bush serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Hayden Cox, Jessica Blevins, Latisha McKinney, Brandy Smallwood, Alicia Frazier, Patricia Isaac, Verelena Creech, Stephanie Bush, Renee Wireman, Wally Bush, Sr., and Wally Bush, Jr. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
