Yvonne Martin

Yvonne Martin, age 86, of Stanton, KY passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at her home.  She was the wife of Charles Ray Martin and widow of Waller Allen Otis.  Yvonne was born on April 13, 1936 near Rosslyn, Powell County, Kentucky and was the thirteenth, youngest and last surviving child of the late Pleas and Louis Wireman Tipton.  In addition to her parents and first husband, Yvonne was preceded in death by her son, Charles (Chuckie) Martin and twelve siblings:  Minnie Tipton, Elbert Tipton, Mary Lane, Hugh Tipton, Gladys Trent, Elizabeth Everman, Pleas Tipton Jr., Golden Bowen, Zanna Anderson, Morgan Tipton, Herbert Tipton and Opal Wicker.  She is survived by two sons:  Greg (Marilyn) Otis of Naples, Florida and Bentley Otis of Stanton; a daughter:  Debbie Dye of Naples, Florida; five sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law:  Dorothy Tipton, Gracie Vinson, Louise (Wayne) Leavy, Betty Burton and Sue Martin.  Yvonne is also survived by seven grandchildren:  Stephanie Otis (Thaddeus Ostrowski), Laura (Brian) Foret, Allison McIntosh, Brenna Otis, Brandon Martin, Tyler (Tiffany) Dye and Trevor Dye; and eight great-grandchildren:  Margaux Foret, Francis Foret, Kennedy Rogers, Bowen McIntosh, Annabella Dye, Valerie Dye, Maverick Dye and Autumn Dye; plus numerous nieces and nephews.  She was a longtime member and regular attendant of the First Presbyterian Church of Stanton.  Yvonne loved to travel, loved to talk, loved to eat sweets and most of all loved her family. Funeral services officiated by Bro. Lucas Waters will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Visitiation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Stanton Cemetery with Mendel Tipton, Larry Tipton, Gary Bowen, Randy Bowen, John Bowen, Dale Anderson, Dwain Anderson and Mike Tipton serving as active pallbearers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home, Inc. of Stanton.
